Murphy Mason’s narrative will come to a close next month, as the CW has confirmed that its drama series In The Dark will conclude with its fourth season, which will premiere on the network on Monday, June 6.
Murphy Mason, played by Perry Mattfeld, is a blind lady in her twenties. Muphy has gone from a lazy and unhappy receptionist at a job she despises to a vigilante detective to a drug front proprietor over the course of the series’ three seasons, with season 3 seeing her and her friends Jess and Felix, played by Brooke Markham and Morgan Krantz, respectively, as well as her ex-boyfriend Max, played by Casey Deidrick, on the run for murder.
The four of them are being chased not only by the government, but also by Josiah, a drug lord played by Maurice Compte. Murphy will have to survive being locked up in Season 4 of the show as her friends try everything they can to help her. There will be 13 episodes in total, bringing the series to a close.
After obtaining a series order from the CW in 2018, In The Dark premiered in April 2019. The third season ended on October 6, 2021, with the fourth season being announced in February and filming already completed. The CW’s decision on whether to extend or cancel the series was up in the air, with viewership declining with each season. Despite the fact that the series has seen a huge rise thanks to streaming, the network has opted to end it, with the next season slated to broadcast next month. Charmed, Dynasty, Roswell, New Mexico, Naomi, and 4400 are among the CW shows that have been cancelled today.
Corinne Kingsbury wrote the screenplay and Michael Showalter directed the film. CBS Studios, Warner Bros. TV, and Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films are among the firms producing the show. Stiller, Corinne Kingsbury, Jackie Cohn, Michael Showalter, Nicky Weinstock, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, and Andrea Raffaghello are executive producers on the series. The series’ cast also includes Keston John, Theodore Bhat, and Matt Murray, in addition to Mattfeld, Krantz, and Deidrick.
